A new review of previous studies has shown that there is a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease (including stoke) and type 2 diabetes if you eat apples and pears.
Eating apples also reduced BMI (Body-mass Index) in the short-term and reduced cholesterol.
